What makes debossing different from printing?
Debossing puts the artwork below the surrounding silicone face. Plain debossing does not add a separate ink layer. Printing places an ink design on the surface. Choose according to the desired relief, contrast and artwork detail.
Does the recessed artwork include colour fill?
Not in this plain debossed specification. The recessed design uses the silicone body colour. Contrasting ink inside the recess is a separate colour-filled finish and needs its own colour and production approval.
Will very small lettering remain readable?
Fine lettering and narrow gaps need review at actual size. Provide the selected band width with the artwork and ask for minimum feature guidance. Approve a sample when the depth and small detail are important.
What should a debossing proof show?
It should identify the recessed elements, scale, placement and orientation. Confirm any tooling or set-up requirement separately. A digital proof can explain the design but cannot independently establish the physical depth or feel.
Can I reuse the design for a later order?
Keep the approved files, size, colour reference and sample details for comparison. Ask whether the existing tooling is applicable to the new quantity or wording. Do not assume a changed design uses the same mould.
When should I select colour-filled artwork instead?
Consider colour fill when the project needs contrast inside the recessed letters. Specify the fill colour separately from the silicone. The plain and filled variants should not be treated as interchangeable specifications.
